My basic approach to blues is simple:

I7: Use minor pentatonic, raising the 3rd (C to C#)

IV7: Use minor pentatonic (in the key of the I, A in this case). This is justified by the IV7 chord, which sounds like A Dorian.

V: It's common practice to "play in the key" of the V chord (in E in this case). Simply pretend that you are in E for a second,
but don't forget to raise the 3rd (G to G# in this case), or it will sound weird.
