Now this is a 12 bar blues, but it's more in that kind of hippy / blues grass style, which means more major major more major! Now you can get away with F major pentatonic for this whole track and sound great. OR you can try out all these scales which modal interchange suggests. Basically, if you want to sound like Jerry, you HAVE GOT to play Mixolydian on the I7. You can keep playing that on the IV, or jump to the Dorian, per usual on blues. Now this track has a V/V chord (the G7 that leads into C7. That will take F Lydian, then the C7 takes F Ionian. Basically, 1 little note changes for each of these chords. If you can nail them, you will be MASTER OF THE HIPPIES! Another approach is to not think about modes and just outline some triads. Good luck and PEACE BROTHERS and SISTERS!
