I was thinking about the tune "Me and My Woman" by the great and mostly unknown artist Shuggie Otis. It's a simple blues riff in A Blues.

Typical Blues strategy applies here:
Strategy 1 : Play A minor pentatonic or minor blues over all of it.
Strategy 2: Play A major pentatonic or major blues over A7, and minor pentatonic or minor blues over the rest.
Strategy 3: On the A7, play A minor pentatonic or minor blues, periodically raising the b3rd to a maj3rd (C to C#), do the same on the E7, use E minor pentatonic or blues but raise the b3rd (G) to a maj3 (G#), kind of like you're playing in E blues for a second.
